Better Days Counseling began because I had a desire to help remove the stigma in the black community around mental health. I really wanted to be a support for black women who were seeking therapy for the first time. I work with clients of all backgrounds and ethnicities.I remember the days when I struggled with anxiety and depression, negative self talk and self doubt. Therapy helped me find better days. For me that looked like finding meaning and purpose for my life. I want to help you find what you need to have better days.
I hold a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Social Science from Central Washington University in 2016.
I obtained a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in 2020. I have a certificate in Emotionally Focused Therapy through the International Centre for Excellence Seattle Externship 2022.
I help single women and men heal from past relationship mistakes and prepare for the future they want to have. Dating is so hard these days. Do I date online or meet people the old fashion way? Why do I keep dating the wrong people? Do you ever ask yourself these questions? Does it make you discouraged about your prospects for the future? Life is already difficult enough and then throw in these expectations that society, family, and friends have as well as our own expectations. These things cause us to experience more anxiety and depression. Maybe dating isn't an issue for you but you’re feeling overwhelmed with life in general. Or you just need to work through some thoughts and feelings to help make decisions, or transition through life stages. Through therapy I offer empathy and compassion. I am a therapist who empowers, encourages, uplifts and provide a safe space for my clients to work through the issues of life. I believe you can have better days.
